Originally the van started out as an RAC van and subsequently has a massive service history with a service every 10k miles as well as anything else that needs to be done was done. There was a new clutch and dual mass fly wheel fitted at around 97k miles so good for another 100k plus. We converted the van ourselves. As a coachbuilder I could not find the camper we wanted and didnt really want to pay someone else to do a job I could do myself, so the build began. To start with the van was stripped to just a dash and steering wheel and everything was cleaned and de-greased. The pop-top was fitted by Denby Campers, we had a set of VW roof rails fitted to the pop-top and I have a set of 3 cross bars that fit the rails. These will be included in the sale. Windows went in next. All the windows are privacy glass and are EU spec. After a lot of research we decided to go for Evo Designs units and a RIB bed / seat. Evo Designs were chosen as they offer a very nicely finished product that could be tailored to suite. There are other beds out there but the RIB is the best. It is crash tested with x2, 3 point seat belts fitted and we went for the sliding base version to give us a bit more flexibility with living space. Before all this was fitted the van was fully sound deadened with Dyno Mat and insulated with 20mm close cell fire retardant foam. The front door speakers were upgraded to a set of Focal 2-way component speakers with cross overs. As you can see we have not messed around, we have made a very good quality, functional and pretty good looking van. As well as a porta loo and table cover that matches the living area units. Externally I fitted some stainless side tubes and there is a tow bar with twin electrics fitted from its RAC days. I have lowered the van with a Just Kampers 50mm lowering kit. There are LED daylight running lights and directional turning lights at the front. In the cab area you have air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors as well as heated mirrors. I will leave the dash camera in as this is hard wired into the van. Under the passenger seat is the deep cycle leisure battery and split charging system. There is also 240v hook up and a charger that charges the leisure battery when on hook up. The kitchen area has a twin gas hob and sink unit and we have fitted a fridge that runs both 12 and 240 volt. There is an LED lighting shelf above the hob and sink, LED lighting in the little shelves to the right of the sink. 2 LED lights in the overhead locker and 3 LED touch control lights down the passenger side and a separate switch to operate the sliding door step light. To the right of the sink there are USB, 12 and 240v sockets and TV ariel socket. To the left and on the side of the units there are x2 240v mains sockets. We have used and loved the van and will be sad to sell, but we have decided we would like a larger motorhome style vehicle. We know what our van is worth and the care and attention that has gone into building it. If you would like to view please message me through the listing and we can arrange a suitable time.
